Personaly I like the simple posters, so I like yours to. It does give a kind of 'sad' feeling, as you discribed, however the composition realy draws you into the words 'beter' and 'delft', to focus on a more positive future. I suspect that you have been trying a lot of different placements of the words and it works well I think. Only comment for improvement is that 'beter' does not look as 3D as 'delft', 'beter' now looks to be flooting a bit on the surface of the poster, were 'delft' realy looks in the distance/3D. Maybe all you have to do is change the font size of 'beter' to make it fit perfect. Thats something to try out.
Nice idea, simple and effective. Te only thing I would criticize is that the word "beter" might have been nicer if aligned with the poster instead of the rails, ecause as it is now it looks unbalanced.
